A good set of compact digital kitchen scales are a must, especially if you have a small kitchen and space is limited.
Very easy to use, they are accurate, sleek in design, and can be stored in a drawer, cupboard, on a shelf or in a small area. They are also easy to clean.
We use a black set by Russell Hobbs which have now lasted for some years but there are a wide range of brands and shapes available so just find one you like the look of and check the reviews! Salter is another good brand.

We’d recommend buying a suitable sized mixing bowl too if you don’t already have one. Make sure the bowl is not too large though as you won’t be able to see the display! We use a 28 cm (11 inches) stainless steel bowl with a non-slip base.
