From the Label:
“An elegant and complex wine, made from Tempranillo, and aged for 18 months in oak. The barrels are made exclusively for Beronia from two different oaks – literally ‘Dos Maderas’, using a pioneering combination of French oak ends, bringing elegance to the wine, with America oak bodies or ‘staves’ adding seductive vanilla nuances, and play a key part in defining Beronia’s unique style.
Enticing aromas of soft cinnamon spice marry deliciously with a full flavoured palate of ripe soft fruit and richly structured tannins. Velvety in texture with an alluring deep red ruby colour. Excellent ageing potential. Perfect with lamb or any full flavoured meaty dish, or with mature cheese.”
My Home Bistro Review – 7½/10
He said… “This Rioja has a well-rounded flavour with rawness and spiciness in the initial taste. Then there is a fruitiness on the top of the palette with a warmth to the back of the throat. Best with food rather than drinking on its own, especially meats.“
She said… “A really nice wine to accompany spicy food, this Beronia Rioja has a woody, blackberry taste on the initial taste followed by a warming flow. Very nice and one that we would purchase again.”
